Medium article are very simple to write. It gives you a very clean page to work with for start. As I am writing I cannot appreciate enough how good this paragraph looks and it’s so easy in the eye.

Oh… did I just clicked enter. I now at a new paragraph. And now I am curious what else can I do with this. The first item crossed in my head is creating a sample image. It took me around 1 minute to find where I can put an image. Turn out, on the top right, there’s an option called “Hints and Keyboard shortcuts”. So I click on it.. and voila.. we have this Keyboard shortcut menu done here.

It appeared in the bottom of the screen

Immediately, I open my sniping tool to take a snippet of the keyboard shortcut. Intuitively, I pasted it into the site and the image is pasted instantly ! Notice that images sits in between two paragraph.

Sooo… what’s next. I’m going to try each and every shortcut available here:

Ctrl + Alt + 1 gives me a header

Ctrl + Alt + 2 gives me a smaller header

Ctrl + Alt + 5 gives me a quote

  • this is a bullet, you only need asterisk
  1. Ordered
  2. List
  3. by
  4. Putting
  5. X. Space

Bolding text with Ctrl + B

Italic Text with Ctrl + I

And this is the link to google by setting it with Ctrl + K

And that’s all for the first page.

Now the second one will be a bit more interesting.. EIon Musk is the link to another user which u can access with @username.

Look at that above.. a seperator.. big one press Ctrl + Enter for that.

And this is also great

now.. code blocks y = y + 1 will not make sense to mathematician.. i prefer bigger blocks

for line in scripts:
print('i need to press space four times')
# because it's not possible to use tab in this mode
Embedded link works great !

Conclusion…
I think this is a great tool for writer. It’s so easy to fall in love with writing when you’re using a fabulous tool like this. Too bad i feel like, what is missing from this are below:

  1. Font, size, color, highlight
I’m guessing they wanted to maintain the simplicity and readability of articles.
  2. Code Blocks
It’s just black and white and there’s no way to tell what programming language without looking into the detail.

That’s all i could think of at the moment.
